About

Margie Esmerian-Smith has been a leading Marin County Broker since 1990. As an agent with Grubb and Ellis in 1987 she quickly became one of the top producers in the Greenbrae office. Grubb and Ellis went through several corporate takeovers and in 1992 became Coldwell Banker. This is when Margie established her own business as an Independent Broker. While at the large corporate Real Estate firms, Margie enjoyed company-wide achievements and earned top honors before earning countywide recognition as an independent Broker. Her understanding of Marin County real estate, along with high standards of professionalism, allows her to offer an unsurpassed level of service to her clients. Over the years, she has not only sold hundreds of properties but also owned homes in many cities and towns in Marin. This provides her a unique insight into the many hidden treasures to be found in the County. Most of the last 25 years have been spent in Kent Woodlands, where she built a home and raised her two kids. Margie currently resides in Tiburon, although, after growing up in Novato she has lived in Sausalito, Mill Valley, San Rafael, Corte Madera, Kentfield and Tiburon.

Margie is the long-time Broker of choice for her ever-increasing list of loyal buyers and sellers. Her ethical business style and proven track record make her a consistent referral from clients as well as her professional network.

Margie has gained extensive experience in construction, subdividing and remodeling during her career. She has built from the ground up, subdivided parcels, sold raw land and remodeled numerous homes in the County. This expertise is shared with her clients and qualifies her to provide credible advice on investment decisions. Her aim is always to provide relevant insight into maximizing resale value, meeting investment goals, and fulfilling lifestyle preferences.

Margie’s top priority never wavers and is always, her client(s) best interest. She delivers optimum representation, powered by experience, integrity, education and the negotiating skills necessary to create positive results for her clients.

Margie’s business philosophy is founded on a simple, clear-cut goal – building relationships that stand the test of time. She is proud to say that upwards of 80% of her business now comes from past clients or referrals from associates and clients. Margie has always focused on marketing her client’s properties rather than herself. This has worked out very well and led to unsurpassed satisfaction from her clients, before, during and after a transaction.
